Good
Golf Does Begin with a Good Grip
If you go to the driving range at a professional
golf event, you will see a vast array of golf swings. However,
you will also see that although all professional golfers swing
the club differently, they all have a good hold on the golf
club by way of a sound grip.
The golf swing is both a chain reaction
and a sequence of events. The reason why it is so important
is because the swing is a chain reaction - Therefore, logically,
the start of the sequence of events is the most important facet!
This is a very powerful statement, yet most handicapped golfers
seem to ignore this very important fact.
Achieving clean club-ball-turf contact is
easy… As easy as forgetting that Old Wives' Tale, "Keep your
head down."
Consider this: Ben Hogan once stated that
he "wished he had three right arms…" Why was that…? He understood
that right arm held the key to power coupled with accuracy.
Consistently long and straight golf shots
are a product of various factors, but probably the most important
of those is an efficient and effective release of the golf club.
